Vayikra – is used to describe Hashem’s speaking to Mosheh in three occasions

  • The First Vayikra (calling) was the incident of the Burning Bush (Shemot 3)
  • The Second Vayikra (calling) was at Mount Sinai – vayikra elav (Shemot 19)
  • The Third Vayikra (calling) to the Tent of Meeting with the five type offerings Vayikra 1-5)
  • The fourth type of calling is mention in Brit Hadashah – the hope of your calling (Ephesios 4:4)

Keyword: read, call, name, recite, summon, call the roll, come near

Why is the Alef (א) in this word unusually small?
The sages comment that this small Alef refers to the humility of Moshe Rabbeinu, of whom the Torah says, “Now the man Moshe was very meek (ענו), above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.” Barmidbar 12:3

Like Moshe, Yeshua is described as ‘anav’ or ‘humble’, “Come unto me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek (ענו) and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” MattitYahu 11:28-30

Adonai Calls Out to His People From the Tabernacle, so he invite his people to draw near to Him, intimate relationship; Gives Instructions On How Man Can Be Reconciled to Him Through the Elevation / Burnt (Olah) Offering / oblation (Korban, Karav-come near): a Picture of the Work of Yeshua At the tree of suffering

Calling – in greek is call Klesis – a calling, calling to  a call, invitation; to a feast of the divine invitation to embrace salvation of Elohim.Romaios 11:29  For the gifts and calling of Elohim are without repentance (no regrets).Ephesios 4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;1 Korintos 1:26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:2 Kefa 1:10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall * never fall *:2 Thessalonika 1:11 Wherefore * * also we pray always for you, that our Elohim would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:

Complete consecration of Moshiach to YHVH  (Mt 26:39; Lk 2:49; Jn 4:34, 5:30, 8:29; 9:4, 14:31, 17:4, 19:30, Phil 2:5-11; Heb 10:9; Jn 6:38)

FIVE KEY OFFERINGS THE ISRAELITES MADE TO Adonai OF YISRAEL

Atonement – Kapar / kapparah כּפר-  to cover, purge, make an atonement, make reconciliation, cover over with pitch; to coat or cover with pitch; to cover over, pacify, propitiate; to cover over, atone for sin, make atonement for; to cover over, atone for sin and persons by legal rites; wipe off, cover with blood.

Olah / burnt offering consist of two types of Olah sacrifices –

  • one offered on behalf of individuals
  • one offered on behalf of community – A community olah was offered every morning and every evening at about sunrise and sunset – for daily community olah was the lamb.

The Olah is a symbol of an individual’s commitment to follow Adonay completely.

The Olah was totally consumed by fire. (Yeshua is a pictured in this commitment (Romans 12:1)

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of Adonai, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to Adonai, which is your reasonable service.”

Offering!brq  – Korban, offering oblation, Karav, Qarab, to come near, approach, enter into, draw near, present to approach

shall put his hand upon the head–This was a significant act but that he confessed his consciousness of sin and prayed that his guilt and its punishment might be transferred to the victim. and it shall be–rather, “that it may be an acceptable atonement.”

There are two types of redemption vs 11 and 16, first one is calling all man to salvation vs 11 – north is where sheep gate, Hope of our calling, and the second redemption is cleansing of all Set apart Ones, judgment of our works. These are two only two cardinal bearing of the altar mention in chapter One that is of great importance. The other presumption cardinal position of the altar placement and type of activities which  speaks of Yeshua’s redemptive work in action and His condition of His sufferingFirst type of salvation for all men come to repentance and cover by His atoning blood
